The three make up the 16th class of inductees into the hall, begun back in 1999.

Dryer was a three-year letterman and a member of the 1947 Cubs team that garnered an upset over heavily favored Navasota to win the district crown.  He went on to play at Blinn College and after graduating from the University of Houston, returned to coach and serve as athletic director at Blinn College for over 40 years.

Fisher was also a three-year letterman, who was a key member of the 1957 Cubs team that went 10-2 and advanced to the Region Final.  He was All-District and Honorable Mention All-State.  He went on to play at Texas A&M.  Since his graduation, he’s been involved in international sales in Houston.

Sweed helped lead the 2002 Brenham Cubs to the program’s first-ever appearance in the State Championship game.  He was named All-District and All-State in his junior and senior seasons.  He went on to the University of Texas where he helped lead the Longhorns to the 2005 National Championship.  He also won a Super Bowl ring the the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009.

Also honored was the 1971 Cubs’ team that went 13-0 before falling to Gregory-Portland in the State Semifinals.
