ECKERMANN ADDRESSES QUESTIONS ABOUT SIMON THEATRE FUNDING

  

With Sunday’s Grand Opening of the renovated Barnhill Center at the Historic Simon Theatre, questions have arisen concerning tax payer dollars and the theatre renovation project.

Jennifer Eckermann, Manager of Mainstreet Brenham says, that raised funds were used towards the renovation of the Historic Simon Theatre. All of the renovations were done by a non-profit 501c3.

Eckermann continues, saying that the non-profit, Brenham Mainstreet Historical Preservation Inc., (not to be confused with the Brenham Mainstreet program with the city) is hosting the grand opening featuring Ezra Charles, as a fundraiser for the Historic Simon Theatre in order to come up with the funds to complete the renovations.
