FATAL HOT-AIR BALLOON CRASH SOUTH OF AUSTIN
A hot air balloon crash south of Austin has claimed at least 16 lives.
The sheriff of Caldwell County says there do not appear to be any survivors.
Federal officials say the balloon carrying at least 16 people caught on fire and crashed near Lockhart just after 8:30 Saturday morning.
Lynn Lunsford with the Federal Aviation Administration the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
Lockhart is about 30 miles south of Austin.
