FAYETTE COUNTY REPORT

On Sunday morning around 8:30am, Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a citizen who had attempted to cross Rabbs creek on Owl Creek Rd, in the Warda area, when her car stalled out due to high water.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County EMS unit Medic 1, and the LaGrange Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene, along with Fayette County Commissioner McBroom of Precinct 1.

The Citizen had also notified a grandson, who went to the scene and assisted his grandmother from the car to safe ground prior to Emergency Responders arrival.

With the heavy rains lately, Sheriff Korenek reminds citizens not to attempt to drive across low water areas where water is flowing over the roadway.
