FIRE AND EMS PERFORM HIGH WATER RESCUE

  

The Washington County EMS and the Brenham Fire Department were dispatched at 12:30 this (Wednesday) afternoon to a high water rescue.  A vehicle was stranded on the bridge over New Year Creek on Old Independence Road near the intersection with Airport Road.  There was high water over the roadway on each side of the bridge from Wednesday morning’s heavy rain stranding the vehicle.  EMS used it’s recue vehicle to drive through the high water and bring the occupants out.  There were no reported injuries.
