  1. I applaud you Cedrick. You seem to be very respectful and have a good head on your shoulders. Thank you for you insight on this.

  2. Read the first charge again. Yes it is reasonable suspicion and probable cause to detain and apprehend each individual. Unless evidence proves otherwise in regards to Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity they will only be charged with Possession of illegal criminal instruments. Come on now. I’m black I would’ve suspected the same thing at 3:00 am coming from behind a business with a slew of parked vehicles. Take them. Black or no black. From the H or not.

  3. You have 5 individuals in a SUV where are the stolen items going. They were coming from the side of a building was there actually an attempt to steal tires and rims? But again where would they put them.

  4. smh it don’t say what they did ,how is riden with tools illegal ????? unless they were already lookin for them be more clearer

  5. Great Job Brenham PD. What we need are a few “Bait Cars” in town. Now that would be interesting.

  6. So can i do a citizens arrest if i see a unlicensed traveling mechanic with tools because i feel he may steal an engine… or can i arrest an officer if i see him with a slim jim because he could break into a vehicle. My point is no stolen items were found they have no proof they were stealing. the tools arent even listed for all we know they had a floor jack and a fourway in which 90 percent of drivers have. Real question is what was the reason for pulling the vehicle over ? Sounds more like profiling to me. Im not playing the race card at all but if the vehicle was a little nicer and the young adults didnt look so rough would they be criminals as some of you say….

    1. Seemed to me that the police stopped them for being suspicious. Leaving behind a car dealership at 3 in the morning when nobody is there. That kind of sticks out to anyone. First how do you know what the vehicle looks like. It just says SUV, and for all we know it could have been a Land Rover. I don’t know about you, but I can’t see in to a vehicle to see the race of anyone when its dark outside until I’m like 10 feet away. Even then its not clear what they look like. You say you’re not trying to play the race card, but your words seem to speak otherwise. Don’t perpetuate the stigmatism of profiling with your comments. Being a black male myself, I can say every time I’ve been pulled over by the police has been my own fault. I speed, I’ve ran stop signs, I’ve been in wrecks, but I didn’t make the police pull me over. They did their job and it seems like they did it again.

  7. There from Houston driving around Brenham at 3 am.with tools to steal rims. Thank you BPD for taking this crew of the streets. Some lucky soul woke up with there vehicle rims still! hooked to there vehicle. I would get warrants in Houston to search their residence . You got about a 75% chance of finding vehicle rims.

  8. 3:00am on a sunday morning, coming from behind a business that has had multiple thefts of tires/wheels and you have a car load of “individuals” (color makes no difference) and tools used to steal tires/wheels. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that your probably up to know good. Don’t put yourself in situatuions if you don’t want to be looked at. Job well done by Brenham Police!

  9. Who says that they actually saw something it’s just a charge I’m sure was a good attorney but they can get the charges dropped just because something is in your possession does not mean that you actually use it it’s a bad charge so I’m sure that it will not stick but good job to the police department for taking notice

    1. The charge is POSSESSION of criminal instruments ( not usage). The mere possession is illegal. Its actually a good charge combined with the extensive criminal history/gang history of the suspects.

  10. Just because they had the tools, doesn’t mean that they committed any organized criminal activity. Charge them for the tools, not what you think they were going to do.

  11. I hope all goes well with these young individuals, they made a mistake, does not mean they can will not have another chance, or should have another chance. God holds judgement for all

  12. Way to go Brenham Police Dept. It is sad how many people would rather steal than earn what they have or want in an honest fashion. Take note people, there are places for those who steal. It’s called JAIL and in Brenham, you will go there.

  13. No one is to judge any one what they did is not right but who is honest keep it true to your self you have did a crime before but might not have got caught

    1. They need to be free yall didnt have a right to acuse anybody of anything because there black they had tool okay and everybody got tolls u going take them to jail to
