HARRIS COUNTY DEPUTY SHOT AND KILLED

  

A search is underway for the killer of a 30-year veteran of law enforcement who was shot in Baytown early today (Monday).

Authorities say Harris County Precinct 3 Asst. Chief Deputy Clint Greenwood was shot around 7 a.m. after arriving for work at a Houston-area courthouse.

Greenwood was airlifted to a hospital where he died.

It is unclear if Greenwood was targeted. Authorities say there is no known motive at this time.

The shooting occurred in Baytown, east of Houston. Several area businesses and a local high school were on lockdown during the incident.

  1. What causes people to be so wrong. More people in our society have lost the value of human life and it’s not a comfortable feeling. I pray for peace for Chief Deputy Greenwood’s family and hopefully the authorities will soon catch his killer and wether indigent or not keep the person locked up for other people’s safety.

  2. God Bless chief Greenwood and his family…another senseless killing of an officer. So sad. I hope they catch the suspect and punish him to the fullest.
