HUNTSVILLE BODY IDENTIFIED
Authorities in Walker County have identified a body that was found two months ago near a golf course in Huntsville.
Medical examiners have positively identified the body of 59-year old Pedro Garza of San Antonio. Garza’s body was found in September near the Raven Nest Golf Course off Interstate 45 in Huntsville, near Sam Houston State University.
University Police are working with the Texas Department of Public Safety on the investigation.
Authorities say Garza was released from the Walls Unit of the Texas Department of Correction in June of 2016 after serving time for sexual assault of a child.
A cause of death is still unknown at this time.
