LOCAL POLICE INVESTIGATE ROBBERY OF DELIVERY MAN

Brenham Police are investigating the robbery of a pizza delivery man overnight.

Wednesday around 11 p.m., Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer responded to the 2600 block of SH 36 South.

The caller said he had been delivering a pizza to the 800 block of W. Jefferson St. at approximately 10:50 p.m. and the residence appeared to be unoccupied.  He says he knocked on the door and no one responded; as he turned to leave, two young men came out of the carport area.

The caller said one of the men went to “find the money” while the other one remained talking to him.

The caller said he was then hit with a blunt object from behind and was asked for his money. When he responded he didn’t have any, the two men took the delivery bag and the pizza and fled.

The case is under investigation.
