LOCAL STORES TAKE PART IN SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY

  

Many small businesses in downtown Brenham are participating in Small Business Saturday this weekend.

Small Business Saturday encourages people to shop at local, independent stores following Black Friday.

First launched in 2010, the program quickly became a success with President Obama naming Small Business Saturday as an official day. In 2015, approximately 1.3 million small business nationwide participated in the event.

This year, a host of stores in Washington County are offering holiday specials for Small Business Saturday. A full list of stores participating in the special deals can be found online at the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s website, chamber.brenhamtexas.com/hotdeals.
