Arabella Maitland of Brenham, TX, posted a 9.059 sec elapse time on a 9.00 dial in at 69.81 mph to defeat Trace Casey of Van Vleck, TX, who posted a 8.966 elapse time on a 8.92 sec dial in at 72.65 mph. Maitland’s reaction time was 0.067 secs to Casey’s 0.114 secs. This win gives her the honor of performing an exhibition pass at the NHRA Spring National event at Royal Purple Raceway on April 25- 27th.
Arabella Maitland is a 5th Grade distinguished honor student at Brenham Middle School. She is the daughter of Jeff and Marla Maitland of Brenham. Grandaughter of George Rhodes of Brenham and Gary and Janet Maitland of Flagler Beach, FL.
On March 1st, Jeff Maitland of Brenham, Tx and Regan Jordan of Fort Worth, Tx won the Southwest Jr. Dragster Series Outlaw 330 event at Lone Star Motorsports Park in Sealy, Tx. They qualified 5th out of 10 competitors with a 4.366 elapse time. They faced Aaron Philpot of Bourne, Tx in the finals. Regan Jordan had a reaction time of 0.055 seconds and an elapse time of 4.358 seconds to defeated Aaron Philpot who had a reaction time of 0.046 seconds with an elapse time of 4.400 seconds. This was Regan’s 1st race in the Outlaw 330 Jr. Dragster class. He is a Freshman at Hurst Jr. High in Fort Worth, Texas. He is the son of Justin Jordan of Fort Worth, Tx. Jeff Maitland of Brenham is the owner and crew chief of the Outlaw 330 Jr. Dragster.
The Jr. Dragster Outlaw 330 class is the elite/ pro class of the Jr. Dragracing sport. It is a heads up 330 ft race.
