RAY WYLIE HUBBARD COMES TO BRENHAM SATURDAY

After his original concert in May was postponed, Ray Wylie Hubbard will hold a live concert at the Historic Simon Theatre in downtown Brenham this Saturday. Patrons that purchased tickets for the rescheduled May 27th concert can bring their original tickets or pick up their tickets at will call after the doors open at 6:00 pm.

Hubbard is hailed one of Texas’ premier singer-songwriters, releasing 16 albums – many of which have reached the top of the Americana music charts. Among his most memorable songs he’s written is “Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother” which became a monumental hit for Jerry Jeff Walker. The Houston Press says, “A night with Hubbard brings out several different sides of his musical personality; redneck rocker, beatnik bluesman, salty old hippie and ‘Senior Pastor for the Church of the Eternal Groove.

The doors open at 6:00 pm.  The pre-concert interview with Ray Wylie Hubbard is at 7:00 pm and the concert begins at 8:00 pm.  All tickets are General Admission and tickets are available online at http://www.TheBarnhillCenter.com/eventsor can be bought at the door.
