One of the largest crowds ever saw the final concert Saturday night of the 10th anniversary season of Main Street Brenham’s “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concert series.

With hundreds of classic and hotrod cars lining both Alamo and Main Streets in downtown Brenham, thousands of people danced and sang along to the music of Suede.  They also enjoyed a large cake in the shape of Texas to celebrate the 10th anniversary season of “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes”.  The crowd also broke a record for beverage sales at the event.  Sponsors of Saturday night’s concert were Dr. Michael Altman, DDS Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, J&A Roofing, and Budweiser, Mike Hopkins Distributing.  The free concerts on the courthouse square are presented annually on Saturday nights in July by Main Street Brenham.

  1. Thanks so much to all who have worked so hard to make this event a success for the people in our community. Traci and Charlie Pyle and many volunteers have helped raise money over the years to accomplish some great projects in Downtown Brenham – we can’t thank you guys enough! And, of course, the whole event couldn’t happen without the hard work of several departments at the City of Brenham. It’s hot in the middle of the afternoon when all the set up takes place, and it takes hours of work to tear down after the crowds are gone. It’s the dedication of all these folks that make this event happen. You’re alll great and your work is much appreciated!
