SCHUBERT MEETS WITH LOCAL LEADERS

District-13 State Representative Leighton Schubert recently hosted a leadership summit in La Grange with mayors and county judges from around the district.

Schubert is in the process of developing his agenda for the next legislative session and says he wanted a casual forum with open discussion among the various leaders.

Schubert’s office says a wide array of issues were discussed including infrastructure needs, criminal justice issues, emergency management issues, and the looming budget constraints due to the drop in oil prices.

Schubert said he wanted to hear directly from the local leaders about what they think the legislature needs to work on in the next session.

The 85th Legislative Session begins in January 2017 and meets for 140 days

  1. Good to listen to ideas! This country is in a mess! We need government to come together! But when a lot of them boo the name of God on stage it will never happen! How very sad that America has turned on God! Judgement and consequences r very soon! America is very vulnerable!
