SNOOK SCHOOL BOARD TO CONSIDER FOOTBALL STADIUM

The Snook School Board is considering using district land across the street from the schools to possibly build a football stadium.

Snook ISD owns 40 acres of land across from the school building, and is looking into future options for the land, which is next to the baseball field.

Presently, the district is looking to see what issues the land may hold, including drainage issues that future development may cause.

The Board was presented with some concept drawing of what the land could look like, which would include the stadium and a track.

The stadium plan includes a capacity of 600 person total, with 400 on the home side and 200 on the visitor side. The stadium would eliminate the need for the football team to travel to Bryan to play home games.

The cost of the stadium has not yet been considered since everything is still in the planning stages, and nothing has been decided.
