TEN SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Ten people have been sentenced in the latest meeting of 21st District Court in Brenham.
31-year old Justin Ray of Brenham, was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver—a First-Degree Felony.
46-year old Peta Acosta Martinez of Brenham was sentenced to four years in prison on a charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender with a previous conviction—a Second-Degree Felony.
54-year old Gregory Britton of Brenham was sentenced to four years in prison for Third Offense Driving While Intoxicated.
36-year old Ralph Stanley Makowski Jr., of Prairie View was sentenced to five years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
40-year old Ray Erwin Drews of Montgomery was sentenced to 10 months in Jail on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
42-year old Joseph Christopher Thompson of Brenham was sentenced to six months in the Washington County Jail for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
29-year old LaByron Desmond Dever of Brenham was given 10 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dever must also perform 400 hours of community service and undergo drug & alcohol evaluation and treatment.
22-year old Richard Rasberry of Brenham was placed on 10 years’ probation and fined $1500 for Burglary of a Habitation. He was also ordered to perform 400 hours of community service.
39-year old Heather Stone of Somerville was placed on 10 years’ probation for Burglary of a Habitation. Stone was also fined $1500 and ordered to perform 400 hours of community service.
And, 18-year old Damien Rios of Brenham was placed on five years’ probation on three separate charges: Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering With Physical Evidence. Rios was also fined a total of $2,000 and must perform 200 hours of community service.
