Edith Dickschat of Washington, was recognized by Texas Farm Bureau with many years of membership in the Bureau

Dickschat, of Washington, was recognized for 69 years of membership with Texas Farm Bureau

She joined TFB in 1969, and has been involved with cattle and row crops.

More than 100 counties submitted over 400 entries in the search for the longest tenured member.

“For more than 80 years, members have actively participated in leadership programs, community service, policy development and advocated for agriculture,” Larry Winkelmann  County Farm Bureau President of Burton said. “The state organization wanted to recognize those longtime members.”

Texas Farm Bureau, a grassroots organization steeped in history and agriculture, wanted to recognize their members for their years of dedication.

“Searching for the members with the deepest roots in our county and TFB gave us the opportunity to relive our history and learn from our members,’ Winkelmann said.
