THIEVES ATTEMPT TO STEAL CARS OVER THE WEEKEND

  

Brenham Police are looking into a pair of weekend cases of attempted auto thefts.

Saturday morning, just before 7:00, Cpl. Edward Ortega responded to the 500 block of Church St. in reference the burglary of a vehicle.

The caller said someone had broken the driver side window of his vehicle in an attempt to steal it. The caller said nothing was taken from the vehicle, but the steering column and ignition were broken.

Cpl. Ortega then responded to a similar call just before 2:00 Saturday afternoon in the 1300 block of S. Austin.

The caller said his driver side window had been busted out. He said nothing had been taken from the vehicle but the dash board and ignition switch were broken.

Police continue their investigation.
