TWC TO PRESENT BLINN WITH $500,000 GRANT
Blinn College has partnered with Blue Bell Creameries and Stanpac USA for job training for over 700 workers using the $500,000 Skills Development Fund grant received from the Texas Workforce Commission.
This grant will be used to provide training to 771 workers for industry-related topics with focuses on topics such as enhanced food safety, logic control system, and packer and warehouse associates. After completion of training, workers will receive an average wage of $16.55.
Texas Workforce Commission Chairman, Andres Alcantar will present the check to representatives from Blinn College along with their partnering businesses on Monday, February 8th at noon in the 2nd floor ice cream parlor at Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham.
