TWO ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

Two men from the Austin area face drug charges after a traffic stop in Brenham, Thursday morning.

30-year old Frazier Carter of Pflugerville and 31-year old Daniel Bailey of Austin, were pulled over by Brenham Police Corporal Tommy Kurie in the 2200 block of Highway 290 East.
Kurie says he could smell marijuana and Carter appeared very nervous.
Carter admitted there was marijuana in the car. A search also turned up a bottle with Codine in it.
Carter is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Bailey is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
