TWO WOMEN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES
Two Burleson County women face multiple charges after their arrests Friday afternoon by Brenham Police.

Police were called to a parking lot at the 2700 block of Highway 36 South for a possible case of child abuse.
Officer Jonathan Phipps says he did not find any evidence of child abuse, but a check of the two women in the vehicle showed one was wanted on an outstanding theft warrant.
Phipps says both were acting as if they were under the influence of narcotics.

Police say the drugs were in a candy box well within the grasp of a six-year old child in the car.
33-year old Erica Shae Carter of Somerville and 44-year old Debra Kay Johnson of Caldwell are each charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs; Possession of a Controlled Substance; Possession of Paraphernalia; Endangering a Child.
Carter is also charged with the outstanding theft warrant.
