UNUSUAL BREAK-IN IN FAYETTE COUNTY
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office investigated an unusual case of breaking and entering this week.
Wednesday afternoon Fayette County Deputy Darrell Maze responded to a residence on Old Plum Highway near LaGrange. The homeowner told Deputy Maze that while upstairs in her house she heard a loud boom. When she returned downstairs she found her patio glass door broken, and a window and screen in the front living room were broken and lying on the ground outside. After a thorough investigation, Maze discovered muddy hoof prints near the back patio glass, and hair from a deer on the broken front window pane and ledge. It was obvious the suspect was a deer that crashed through the patio glass door and exited through the front window. The suspect was not located, and remains at large.
