VEHICLE HITS POWER POLE ON MARKET STREET

  

Market Street in Brenham was closed for over an hour Wednesday at Sycamore Street due to a one vehicle accident.  A vehicle struck a power pole and sheered it off at the base at 2:30pm, leaving power and telephone lines slack above the street.  The driver was apparently uninjured.  City Utility crews worked through the afternoon to replace the pole.
