WASHINGTON CO. FARM BUREAU CELEBRATE TEXAS FOOD CONNECTION DAY

  

The Washington County Farm Bureau celebrated Texas Food Connection Day on Thursday.

The Washington County Farm Bureau handed out $50 H.E.B. gift cards to six lucky shoppers in Brenham.

A year-round effort—Texas Food Connection Day—brings farmers and consumers together to celebrate food and the work that goes into growing it.

WCFB has been participating in the food connection celebration for over a decade. The event was established to connect farmers with their customers and spur conversations about agriculture and food related issues.

Partnering with the local grocery store board members, President Larry Winkelmann and wife Donna, along with director Linda Oberhoff, visited with shoppers and provided them with important information. They also answered questions about farmers and ranchers.

The gift cards winners were from Brenham, Belleville and Lyons
