WASHINGTON COUNTY LADY LIONS LAUNCH CALENDAR SALE

  

The Washington County Ladies Lions Club has launched the sales of their 2015 Cash Option Calendar.

This is the second year for the club to offer this opportunity to support the mission of the club: We Serve, Vision is Our Vision.

The sales of the 2015 edition will benefit locally the Bosom Buddies “Pink Ladies” and the Lions project: Leader Dogs for the Blind, as well as community projects for the club, like scholarships for eyeglasses, etc.

Bosom Buddies benefits women suffering with cancer, providing assistance for food, money and parking during their treatments, but mostly they work with the Hasskarl Imaging/Brenham Clinic with assisting in free mammograms.

Leader Dog for the Blind is for impaired vision assistance, providing assistance in everyday life. Since 1939-Leader Dog for the blind has operated one of the worlds most respected and innovative guide dog programs, including pocket sized GPS devices.  The Leader Dogs empowers people who are blind, visually impaired or Deaf-Blind with skills for a lifetime of independent travel, opening doors that may have seemed to have closed with the loss of sight.

Proceeds from the 2014 Calendar benefit the Washington County Healthy Living Association building project and Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville with a $5,000 donation each.
