WASHINGTON COUNTY SPELLING BEE TO BE HELD TODAY
The 60th Annual Washington County Spelling Bee is set tonight at 6pm at Alton Elementary School.
There will be twenty four of Washington County’s top spellers from the public and private school competing to win the title of Best Speller. The next step in the completion will be held on Saturday, February 7 at the College Station High School Auditorium.
The top three contestants will each receive a cash prize provided by 1280 KWHI, who has sponsored the Bee since its inception over 50 years ago.
Diane Hodde, retired Brenham ISD teacher, will serve as caller for the event.
