NAVASOTA POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

  

Navasota’s Police Department will soon be taking part in the 35^th Annual National Night Out.

Neighborhoods across Navasota are invited to join other communities for the nationwide crime and drug prevention event, on October 2^nd.

National Night Out was created to raise crime and drug prevention awareness, as well as to strengthen support for local anti-crime efforts.

The Navasota PD encourages citizens to get involved by hosting a block party.  Police Chief Shawn Myatt says block parties have been an effective and enjoyable way to promote neighborhood spirit that goes beyond just one night.

To register a block party, call the Navasota PD at 936-825-6124 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.  The deadline to register is September 28^th, at noon.
