Dozens of art pieces are now on display at the Ant Street Inn, for Brenham ISD’s Annual Arts and Appetizers event.

Hosted by the Brenham ISD Education Foundation, the event features work from emerging artists ranging from elementary to high school.

The showcase will include over 50 works of art from students, along with over 20 auction items including Houston Rockets tickets, a Hill Country Getaway, and a duck hunt.

Education Foundation Board Member Kyle Merten says the event is a great way to showcase and recognize the talent in the school district.

All proceeds from the event go to Brenham ISD art students and programs, as well as Brenham public schools.

The reception and auction will take place tomorrow (Thursday), beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Admission is complimentary, and the event includes refreshments and the opportunity to visit with student artists.

There will also be a drawing with over 15 items.  Tickets can purchased at the door.

Sponsors of this year's event include: Ant Street Inn, Appel Ford and Hyundai, BBVA Compass, Bluebonnet Electric, Brenham National Bank, Crain Group, Design II, LTY Engineers, Mike Hopkins Distributing, Plan North, Solutions in Sound, and Van Dyke Rankin Insurance.
