CHAPPELL HILL & BRENHAM FD’S PUT OUT GRASS FIRES

  

Chappell Hill and Brenham firefighters put out a number of small grass fires near downtown Chappell Hill, Thursday afternoon.

According to the Brenham Fire Department, they were called out along with the Chappell Hill Department to the 9000 block of Highway 290 East, at the intersection of the FM 1155, just before 4:30 p.m.

Firefighters extinguished several small grass fires along the highway, resulting in minor damage.

The cause of the fires was not determined.
