SIX HOSPITALIZED AFTER SUNDAY MORNING CRASH OUTSIDE OF CHAPPELL HILL

  

Six people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning just outside of Chappell Hill.

According to DPS Sergeant Alease Wilson, the crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. on Highway 290 East at Nicholson Lake Road.  Wilson said a vehicle was headed eastbound on Highway 290 when it collided with another vehicle which was pulling out from Nicholson Lake Road.

All six that were involved in the accident—four in one vehicle and two in the other—were transported to the hospital for their injuries.  Wilson did not have information on what condition they left in, but she did say they would be able to recover.

Highway 290 East was temporarily shut down as crews worked the scene.
