WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER EXTENSION OF DISASTER DECLARATION THURSDAY
Washington County Commissioners will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow (Thursday) morning to potentially extend the county’s disaster declaration.
The county’s current state of disaster declaration due to the health emergency of COVID-19 is set to expire on Friday without extension by commissioners. The declaration was initially signed March 18th by County Judge John Durrenberger, and extended through this Friday at the court’s meeting last Tuesday.
Commissioners will also consider approving the use of Zoom conferencing software for extending commissioners court meetings to be accessible online, beginning Tuesday, April 7th. The item was discussed during court Tuesday, but due to the agenda incorrectly listing Tuesday, March 7th, and not Tuesday, April 7th, it could not be approved.
Commissioners will meet tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.
