BRENHAM H-E-B PARTNERS WITH FAVOR DELIVERY FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
H-E-B in Brenham has partnered with a delivery company to allow senior citizens to get their groceries without having to leave their homes.
Today (Friday), the Texas grocery chain’s Brenham location began a partnership with Favor Delivery, an on-demand delivery company based in Austin. Orders are placed through Favor’s website or app, and are then transported from restaurants or businesses to customers by self-employed couriers, or “runners”.
Brenham H-E-B eCommerce Manager Kim Crawford says this service is basically a personal shopper for seniors.
According to Favor’s website, the service is also available at H-E-B’s locations in College Station, Columbus, Huntsville, and La Grange.
Crawford said this is valuable resource for senior shoppers during this time.
The H-E-B and Favor Senior Support Program is restricted to seniors 60 years old or over. Orders are accepted from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, and should be limited to 25 items max. Shoppers ordering through Favor will need to add a $10 tip for their “runner” to their order.
To place an order, call the H-E-B and Favor Senior Support Line at 1-833-397-0080. The line is available seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers can also place an order online at https://favordelivery.com/seniors.
How radius do they deliver. We live 15 miles from Brenham.
They do!
Great idea!! Why not employ those who live in Brenham?
Yea! My daughter signed up right away as soon as she heard about this and starts driving for Favor in the morning (Saturday!).
No mention of this, only said who they hired as the company. Hats off to them!
