Could Major League Baseball be coming to Texas A&M?

A&M Athletic Director Ross Bjork says he’d be open to Blue Bell Park hosting professional baseball.

Several media outlets are reporting a proposed plan that would have Major League Baseball splitting games during the current pandemic between Arizona, Florida and Texas.  Arlington would serve as the center of operations.

The report says other major and minor league stadiums, as well as some college stadiums, could be utilized.

Bjork says that while the league hadn't reached out to A&M about Blue Bell Park, but he would definitely be interested.

Bjork said on his bi-weekly media teleconference, “Absolutely.  I think that would be a great way to get things back up and running and we would definitely participate in that.”

A&M’s baseball season ended after 18 games when the SEC announced it would cancel all spring sports.
