OVER $219,000 AWARDED AT OUTDOOR BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONY

Over $219,000 in scholarships were awarded to Brenham High School seniors Monday night at the high school’s 33rd Annual Scholarship Ceremony.
Hundreds of scholarships, ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, were awarded to students at the ceremony, presented by the Brenham High School National Honor Society at Cub Stadium.

The top two graduates of the class, which were announced last month, were honored at Monday night’s ceremony. Valedictorian Alexis Hamilton led the senior class with a grade point average of 4.5750, while Salutatorian Alldyn Schroeder finished with a GPA of 4.5480.
Hamilton, the daughter of Alex and Cyndi Hamilton, will be attending Trinity University to study Political Science/Pre-Law. She said hard work and integrity is always the key to success.

Schroeder, the son of Ross and Dayna Schroeder, will study Business Honors and Business Management at Texas A&M. He believes pushing the boundaries can lead to great things.
The senior class features 18 summa cum laude graduates, including Hamilton and Schroeder, 28 magna cum laude graduates, and 46 cum laude graduates.
Brenham High School’s graduation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. at Cub Stadium. KWHI will broadcast the ceremony live, starting at 7:45 p.m. Brenham ISD will also livestream the event on YouTube.
