BLUE BELL AQUATIC CENTER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE FOLLOWING POSITIVE COVID-19 CASE

The Blue Bell Aquatic Center has been closed temporarily due to a positive COVID-19 case.

The City of Brenham announced this (Thursday) morning that the facility will be temporarily closed, effective immediately.

City Manager James Fisher said the city is notifying the appropriate parties in relation to the case.  Fisher was unable to say whether the case involved a staff member or visitor to the facility, citing health privacy.

Fisher said the facility will be deep cleaned and sanitized during the closure to “ensure patrons are safe going forward.”  He said the city’s top priority is the “health and well-being of staff and residents.”

All classes and events at the facility have been postponed until further notice.  Further information is available on the city’s website, www.cityofbrenham.org, or on the Blue Bell Aquatic Center and City of Brenham Facebook pages.
