FOUNDER OF RELIGIOUS MINISTRY TO HOLD BOOK LAUNCH IN BRENHAM
An educator, motivational speaker and founder of a religious ministry is hosting a book launch next week in Brenham.

Dr. Roxanne Dixon, the founder of the Beautiful and Godly Lady Project, will hold the launch for her first book, titled BE FREE. BE YOU. 21 Letters to a Beautiful and Godly Lady, Monday at 6 p.m. at the Cannery Kitchen. The new book, released on December 2nd, is a 21-day devotional book of letters that shares Dr. Dixon’s personal experiences of her faith journey.
A native of New Orleans, Dr. Dixon’s ministry offers religious encouragement and motivation to women, challenging them to operate in their life’s purpose.
Dr. Dixon says she chose Brenham for the location of her book launch because of her ministry’s collaboration with local pastor Reverend Randy Wells on the “Building Bridges to the Bahamas and Beyond” radio broadcast. She also says Brenham became a safe place for her family in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina; her mother, Mattie Brumfield Wells, and her siblings established a home in Brenham and have lived there since the hurricane.
In addition to being a self-published author, Dr. Dixon is also a life coach and serves as an assistant pastor at Destiny Christian Center International under Bishop Glenn Allen.
