Rush Limbaugh

The EIB Network announced this morning (Wednesday) that Rush Limbaugh has died at the age of 70.  He announced in January that he had stage 4 lung cancer and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump at the State of the Union address days later.

The EIB Network said they will continue to air the familiar voice of Rush.  They notified affiliates that they will be able to utilize the extensive archive of Rush mixed with guest hosts.

The program that began 33 years ago on national syndication with only 56 radio stations grew to be the most listened-to radio show in the United States, airing on more than 600 stations.

  3. Rush, I knew this day would come. I know that you were prepared to leave this world and yet I am so saddened and have been crying ever since.I learned of your death. I begin listening to you in 1990. I heard your show once and I was hooked. I loved the fact that you had such common sense and wisdom. Your humor was frequent…..it made me laugh. I am thankful to you for increasing my love of our country. I am grateful that you opened my eyes to see the dangers of the liberal agendas. I to believe that no one can take your place.. I have been praying for you for many years. I am thankful that you are now with the Lord. God bless Catherine and family.

  6. Oh my gosh. My husband and I have been listening to Rush since 1991 – a voice to defend the defenseless. Smart, witty, appropriate… absolutely smitten by his shows. Loved him- seriously-loved him- prayed for him, and thanked God for him. He was part of our family in our hearts. I know he is safe and overjoyed with his new home – but we all will miss him TERRIBLY here. Prayers to family – you see one man can still make a BIG difference … still. God Bless

  10. It was a cold day and I was stuck in a traffic jam on Interstate 480 just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. I turned on the radio in my car, and purely by chance, as I scanned the radio stations, I heard that a man named David Koresh, had barricaded himself and his Branch Davidian followers inside of their communal abode in Waco, Texas. I stayed on the station, and listened intently to the broadcaster, who was passionately informing his radio audience, about the terrible tragedy about to take place. His words were riveting and the vivid picture he reported of what was taking place at that moment, was so clear it was as though I was watching the scene myself. That was 28 years ago, and the broadcaster was Rush Limbaugh. From that day onward I listened to him on my radio every day, and I became a fan.
It was through Rush Limbaugh, whose true passion and belief in this country, I soon found myself encouraged daily whilst listening to him, to openly follow my own political persuasions and ideology. Over the years I became an ardent fan of Mr. Limbaugh and, more than often to the chagrin of some, an outspoken, proud, conservative woman.
There are hundreds of millions of people, I feel certain, who have similar stories of how they became followers of this brilliant man.
Sadly today, we learned of Mr. Limbaugh’s passing. He bravely fought on to the last having being diagnosed with lung cancer, a little over a year ago. He will be greatly missed by all who enjoyed his shows and who learned from him over the years.
May his beloved family be blessed, and may Rush rest in perfect peace.

  11. Who laughs at someone dying of a particularly virulent form of cancer….whatever your political motivations?

    1. Communists, Liberals, and Progressives do. I know, I listen to the far left stations out of Houston and Austin, to include NPR, they are very vocal in their elation of his passing. Know your enemy folks.

    2. Am I not able to read the entire story wherein you mentioned people laughing at Rush Limbaugh’s passing? I cannot see that anywhere in the three paragraphs.

  12. I am saddened to hear this. Prayers and thoughts to his family. He was a man of true words and great advice.
