CITY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS TO MEET MONDAY

The Brenham Board of Adjustments will hold a public hearing for a special exception request when they meet Monday night.

The public hearing concerns a request by Titan Premier Investments for a special exception from the city, allowing for a 20-foot front yard setback, where a minimum 25-foot front yard setback is required.

The request is for a single-family residence at 904 W. Jefferson Street.

The meeting is set for Monday at 5:15 p.m. at city hall.

  1. The older neighborhoods have spacious yards that the recent newer neighborhoods do not offer. If you want to practice sports with your little league children; the new neighborhoods will not give you ample space in your own yard. Also, if you have teenage drivers or overnight guest; just plan on parking in the street. The new neighborhoods barely have enough parking for two cars in the driveway. It is unfortunate that city has not approved new spacious neighborhoods in recent years.

  2. My new home is built 25 feet from the sidewalk. It is not enough room. All the homes are that way and very close. Everybody parks on the street. I’m ready to sell my house. Not enough room. It is a bad neighborhood plan that the city allowed.

    1. So you purchased a “new home” even though you feel the front 25’ setback is too small and now you want to sell? Sounds to me like you just want to complain about the City. Try harder.

    2. Hey. My Smart Car is too small. The DOT should have never allowed this car to be built. I’m thinking of selling. Ha!
