LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO RECEIVE MATCHING FUNDS FOR BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES

  

Local school districts are getting a boost to their donations during Tuesday’s Brazos Valley Gives campaign.

The Greater Texas Foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant to the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley to provide matching funds for donations given to school districts during the campaign.  Brenham and Burton ISD are among the six public education foundations participating in Brazos Valley Gives this year.  Each foundation will receive a two for one match for the first $2500 they raise on Tuesday, up to a total of $5000.

Brazos Valley Gives brings the region together as one community to raise money and awareness for local nonprofits during an 18-hour online giving challenge.  The event is on Tuesday, but early giving is open now at www.brazosvalleygives.org.
