GAS PRICES DOWN FROM LAST WEEK FOR THANKSGIVING

  

Millions of Texans are hitting the road for the Thanksgiving holiday, and they will be greeted at the pump with gas prices that are down from the past week.

According to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch, the statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is $2.99.  That price is down 5 cents from last week, but is up $1.20 compared to this time last year.

In Brenham, the average price sits at $3.00, with a low of $2.83 and a high of $3.36.

Surveying the metropolitan areas in Texas, drivers in El Paso are paying the most on average per gallon at $3.23, while drivers in Amarillo are paying the least at $2.84.

Nationwide, the average price for a gallon of unleaded fuel is $3.39, down 2 cents from a week ago, but up $1.28 from a year ago.

  1. Gas Prices are double what they were this time last year! What do you mean they’re down? Shutting down pipelines and energy independence has consequences!
