BLINN TO MAINTAIN CURRENT STAFFING OPERATIONS TO OPEN SPRING SEMESTER

As Blinn College prepares to reopen its campuses tomorrow (Wednesday), College officials say they will continue current staffing procedures.

On Sunday, Texas A&M announced it would ask all faculty and staff to work from home this week, citing the recent increase of COVID-19 and flu cases.

Blinn Communications Director Richard Bray said Blinn faculty and staff will use rotational work schedules that reduce the number of personnel on campus while providing full on-campus services.  Blinn moved to rotational work schedules upon reopening its campuses from COVID-19, and continued to use them last semester.

Bray said he expects Blinn will continue to use the rotational schedules throughout the spring semester, though it will continue to monitor conditions and make adjustments as necessary.

The winter minimester concludes on Wednesday, January 12th, and the spring semester begins Tuesday, January 18th.
