Mandy Barnett’s Nashville Songbook show, coming to Brenham on Saturday, February 5th at 7 p.m., features many Patsy Cline hits. She also covers hits of other top artists including Elvis, Roy Orbison, BJ Thomas, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles and Hank Williams.
TBC producer Sharon Brass says Barnett “is the closest thing you can find to the legendary Patsy Cline.”
Barnett first gained national prominence as the original star of the theatrical hit, Always, Patsy Cline, at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. She performs on the original soundtrack album and is the only actress to have played the role on the historic Ryman stage, where Cline’s legend began.
Barnett was recently inducted into Nashville’s Grand Ol’ Opry where she still performs often. Her style is rooted in the classic crooning of iconic singers, mostly in the country and pop genres.
