BRENHAM PARKS AND REC BOARD TO REVIEW FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
Brenham Parks and Recreation Advisory Board members will meet tomorrow (Wednesday) to go over capital plans for the next five years.
The board will review a capital improvement plan for Fiscal Years 23-28. The document acts as a community planning and fiscal engagement tool used to coordinate the location, timing and financing of capital improvements.
The plan describes proposed capital improvement projects and ranks them by priority. It also includes a year-by-year schedule of expected project funding and estimates of project costs of financing sources.
Public Works Director Dane Rau said the plan is a working document and should be reviewed and updated annually to reflect changing community needs, priorities and funding opportunities.
Also at tomorrow’s meeting, the board will receive updates on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Local Park Grant program for the Brenham Family Park and the Recreational Trails Grant program for the Hohlt Park nature trail. It will then hear an update on Parks and Recreation projects funded in the 2021-22 Fiscal Year.
The board will also look to elect a board chair and vice chair for a one-year term.
The board will meet tomorrow at noon in the second-floor conference room at Brenham City Hall.
