CHAPPELL HILL CHAMBER TO CELEBRATE 45TH ANNUAL INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE

The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating the 45th Anniversary of their annual Independence Day Parade.

This year’s theme is “Sweet Land of Liberty – An American Holiday, the Chappell Hill Way.”

Chappell Hill Bakery & Deli Owners, John and Carolyn Kopycinski, who were charter members of the Chamber will serve as the Grand Marshals.

On Monday, the Chamber is going to start bidding on-line to become the “Official Parade Gunner”, and get to fire Roger and Paula Imm’s Kingfisher Cannon. The bidding will be done on the Chamber website and their Facebook Page.

The Chamber is also going to auction off an opportunity to lead the “World Famous Marching Kazoo Band.” Bidding for that also starts on Monday and lasts thru June 30.

Brenham National Bank and Chappell Hill Bank have once again sponsored the Veteran’s Floats for any veteran that would like to ride in a covered float during the parade.

This year’s artwork for the Parade’s promotional material was designed by Alton Elementary School fourth grader Canyon Andersen. Chamber President Joel Romo said that the artwork, “captured Chappell Hill’s love for our country and small-town charm.”

Main Street will be closed on the Fourth of July until 1pm.  Afterwards, visitors can enjoy shopping, dining, food trucks, face painting, and live music by Rob Moorman & Company.

All entry forms and additional parade information can be located on the Chamber’s website, www.chappellhilltx.com, or by calling 979-421-6353. All parade and kazoo band entries are due by 5pm on Thursday, June 30.
