The Brenham School Board on Tuesday agreed to name Early Childhood Learning Center Principal Jillian Wilke as the new principal for Krause Elementary School and formally promoted Brenham Middle School Assistant Principal Erin Thibodeaux to principal of the middle school campus.  It also approved the hiring of Bellville ISD ESL Coordinator Sheridan Malota as an assistant principal at Alton Elementary School.

Wilke’s move to Krause Elementary School comes after its previous principal, Courtney Mason, was named Brenham ISD’s Coordinator of Community Engagement.  Wilke has 13 years of experience in education and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University.

Thibodeaux was announced as the new principal at the middle school in May, after former principal Peggy Still was tabbed as the district’s new Director of Instruction.  Thibodeaux has been with Brenham ISD for 18 years and earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Tyler.

The hiring of Malota comes after the school district selected Mary Gold, former assistant principal at Alton Elementary School, to be its new Federal Programs Coordinator.  Malota has 11 years of education experience and received her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University.
