FORMER PANTHER WINTERS NAMED TO DAVE CAMPBELL’S PRESEASON ALL TEXAS COLLEGE TEAM

Dave Campbell's Texas Football has released the 2022 Preseason All-Texas College Team, and a familiar face has made the list.

Former Burton Panther Dee Winters, who plays linebacker for TCU, received second team honors.

Winters is going to be a senior this fall for the Horned Frogs.

Last year as a junior, he started all 12 games and recorded a team high 74 tackles.

As a sophomore, Winters also started every game, and made 65 tackles, which was good for second on the team that year.

At Burton High School, Winters was a four year letterman for the Panthers, and led them to an 11-3 record during his senior season.

He was the District MVP as a sophomore, and co-district MVP as a junior.
