UIL BOYS GOLF STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The Lake Creek Lions rallied on the second day of the Boys Golf State Tournament to capture the 5A State Championship. After the team shot a 303 on the first day, they came back with a 292 on the second day to defeat Smithson Valley by six strokes.

Individually for Lake Creek, Tyler Sanford finished fourth overall, while Brecken Franklin finished seventh overall. Other team members were Brody Knowlton, Brady Bains, and Bryce McLaughlin.

The 4A State Tournament was won by Canyon Randall. The Bellville Brahmas finished 8th in that tournament. The Brahmas shot a team score of 321 on the first day and a score of 318 on the second day. The team was made up of Deacon Bauerschlag, Cooper Holloman, William Mudra, Emil Kloss, and Jason Wood.

Callisburg won the 3A State Championship. The Columbus Cardinals finished 9th in the tournament. They had a team score of 344 on the first day and 338 on the second day. The Columbus team consisted of Kaldon Roensch, Adam Schobel, Camdon Pitchford, Cullen Loessin, and Trace Braden.
