WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS REQUEST UPDATED CASH HANDLING POLICIES

  

After an executive session on Tuesday, Washington County Commissioners voted unanimously to request updated cash handling policies from the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office and all other county departments handling cash.

The policies will be provided to the County Auditor’s Office and County Attorney’s Office for informational and clarification purposes.

According to Carli Koehne, Executive Administrative Assistant in the County Judge’s Office, a vote by commissioners on the actual policies will not be necessary. 

County Judge John Durrenberger said there have not been updates made to the policies in some time, and with offices such as the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office bringing in new employees, the court felt it was a good time to review and refresh the policies in place.
