CUBS TRAVEL TO LAMAR CONSOLIDATED FOR DISTRICT GAME

The Brenham Cub Football Team is looking to make it two district wins in a row as they take on the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs later tonight (Friday).

Brenham is 3-3 on the season, and 1-1 in district play. The Cubs are coming off last week's 40-14 win over Montgomery last Friday at Cub Stadium.

Junior QB Jordan Harvey leads Brenham in passing. He has completed 75 of 118 passes (64%) for 1,034 yards, including seven touchdowns and four interceptions.

Freshman RB Jakoby Dixon leads the Cubs with 79 carries for 637 yards and eight touchdowns. He also has 16 catches for 238 yards and two touchdowns.

Sophomore WR Chris Guidry leads the team in receptions with 16 catches for 355 yards and one touchdown.

For Lamar Consolidated, they are 2-5 on the season and 0-3 in district play. After losing a 28-27 heartbreaker to Willowridge in their season opener, the Mustangs beat Rosenberg Terry and Westbury in back to back weeks.

Since then, they have lost four in a row to Stafford (23-7), Rudder (40-13), Huntsville (67-0), and Lake Creek (61-13).

The Mustangs are led by their QB Nathan Lowther, who has completed 61 of 168 passes for 835 yards, three touchdowns, and five interceptions. He is also their leading rusher having carried the ball 95 times for 392 yards and three touchdowns.
