STUDENTS VISIT ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL SITE

Two busloads of Brenham High School Art Students made their way downtown Thursday morning to the site of the Texas Arts & Music Festival.  The students began by painting blocks of Styrofoam that will be used to make a mural most likely on Alamo alley.  After lunch, the students will take a tour of the different Texas Arts and Music Festival murals that have been painted downtown.  The Texas Arts and Music Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday and will feature a mural painted by Houston-based visual artist Tyler Kay.  The festival will include a classic car cruise-in on the evening of October 21st.  Other planned activities are an art village, children’s business fair, and music performances on the 21st from the Brenham Children’s Chorus, Brenham’s own Nite Moves Band and headliner Reverend Horton Heat.  All events are free and open to the public.
